You should feel happy as your parents just want to "stop" the daughters and not to use your name to "call" for sons.
Just imagine if your name is 招弟、来娣 or 来棣...
"言亭" is much more better, right?

Ha ha... Should thanks my grandpa gave me "言亭" instead of 招弟、来娣 or 来棣 then. Talk about 来娣, I got a primary school mate name 来娣, lost contact for so many years but meet her at college again about few years ago, so sad that she meet in an accident with her boy friend at Australia during her convocation... Have to enjoy our life when we still can...

I told my friends about the story behind your name when we had dinner together yesterday.
My friend told me that she has a friend who has 6 sisters got the similar story as well.
One of them is called 婷婷, just like your name, to stop more daughters from coming.
Another called 美美 to symbolise no more (没) daughter.
Canggih kan?
